The Silent Antidote For Stress.

Posted by Bukky Odusote on

Are you or someone you love constantly being stressed out or feeling frustrated about almost everything you can possibly imagine, and the worst part of it is that the people you care the most about end up bearing the brunt and you’re struggling to figure out how to navigate this challenge?

Perhaps what you or that fellow in question are silently yearning for is some random act of kindness.

You are silently wishing for just a little random act of kindness and the world will be a much better place for us all.

I particularly like the excerpt from the book of proverbs;

“A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath, But harsh and painful and careless words stir up anger.” Proverbs 15:1 AMP

Most stress triggers that have often gone unnoticed have been attributed to rudeness and lack of consideration for others and this seems to be the order of the day.

Take for instance a simple question asked that is responded to with sarcasm, speaking harshly, inability to read cues, disregard for others, carelessly spoken words, being insensitive to the feelings of others, deliberately ignoring people and the list goes on… All this are good examples of subtle triggers (the little foxes that spoil the vine), those character flaws quickly make something so beautiful become so ugly and because people no longer put a lot of gentleness, thoughts and care into how they show up daily so many people have become a victim of the actions of others and vis a vis.

From the statement above we can see that harsh, painful and careless responses/ communication can only produce anger which in no time converts to stress.

If you and I prepare daily for how we show up in our day, I bet our day will be more rewarding, productive and successful than it already is and most importantly our level of wellness and wellbeing can be at the utmost peak again.

What will you be doing differently from now?
